April Is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

In 1989, a grandmother from Chesapeake, Virginia connected the Blue Ribbon to child abuse prevention awareness after her grandson died as a result of child abuse.  It was a symbol to her community of her personal commitment to work on responding to and ending child abuse.

The Blue Ribbon Campaign demonstrates the impact and power that one person can have when it comes to raising public awareness of child abuse.  Today, the blue ribbon continues to serve as a constant reminder to protect and advocate for children.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA invites you to join us this year and stand with the community in support of children.

Please display a blue ribbon:

  • on your car
  • on your house
  • at your school
  • at your business
  • or give one to your friends and tell them what it means.

You May Save A Child’s Life.

Blue Ribbons are available for a suggested donation of $5.00 per ribbon.  Please email JessFarrell@cacnepa.org for more information or to place your order.
